ScanX Air for in-the-field obstetric ultrasound

We are proud of our status as worldwide leaders in cost-effective, high-quality ultrasound equipment for low-resource settings. In 2025, we collaborated with Maternal and Childhealth Advocacy International to create a training course, using the ScanX Air and a number of other low-cost ultrasound machines, to teach the most crucial components of a human obstetric ultrasound scan, answering key questions such as “is there a foetus? Is it alive? How is the head positioned – will this woman need assistance giving birth? How is the placenta positioned?”

The ScanX Air was certainly up to the job. If you are interested in using the ScanX Air to help women and children in low-resource settings or conflict zones, please do get in touch for advice. You might also like to check out the full MCAI course here.

The ScanX Air is also suitable for midwives in the hospital setting, to check major things like the foetus’ presentation. For anomaly scans, we instead recommend the Vinno 10.

ScanX Air for cosmetic procedures

It is becoming increasingly important to use ultrasound guidance when injecting dermal fillers, or checking for the presence or displacement of previous facial or lip fillers. Not all wireless probes are created equal, and it’s really important that you choose one that has high enough spatial resolution to be able to provide the information you need.
